This project examines how climate change and severe weather events influence the daily patterns of travel in urban areas (Oslo, Stavanger, Utrecht and Tallinn). It combines different expertises (metrology, economics, geography, sociology and political science), in different environments (long and short term impacts), in the different cities. Throughout the research there will be strong stakeholder representation from the respective local authorities, politicians and researchers. The input from TSU is in the framing of the research and in developing scenarios within which to study the different long term (2050) mitigation and adaptation strategies that are needed to avoid non sustainable mobility patterns.
