Commentary on Current Transport Issues

Any commentaries on current issues would be welcome.

Thought for the month

Raising the motorway speed limit raises many questions but perhaps the biggest question relates to how the justification for increasing it is because so many break the current limit, and that economic gain will derive from people getting to their destinations quicker. But that means they'll have travel faster than they currently do, and that will surely mean breaking the new 80mph limit. So what happens then? Do we raise it to 90mph? (Gordon Stokes)
