Research Project

Transport Scenarios - Drivers and Limits

This project analyses and discusses the trends and drivers of transport demand from a variety of subsectors and how that can be incorporated into different scenarios. This will include an assessment of the policy implications given the climate and sustainability constraints. The sectors to be included are: long distance travel; socio economic and demographic affects; urban structure and infrastructure; and freight transport.

The project consists of a Technical University of Denmark (DTU) team with expert inputs to discuss methodologies, assumptions and possible futures arising from the expert workshops.

Output

Presentations on:

  • Why and how to build scenarios in transport - do different methodologies affect the results?
  • Integration of climate and sustainability constraints into scenario building.
