The TSU is strongly committed to delivering an educational programme that allows knowledge exchange and dialogue amongst a diverse group of researchers and practitioners from different countries and backgrounds.
It will cover tuition fees, accommodation and some travel expenses whilst enabling beneficiaries to attend one of the two courses as well as participating in a TSU research project into 'The challenges of teaching sustainable transport'.
This research project aims at better understanding how short courses organised by various UK Universities answer the needs of the transport public and private sector whilst critically reflecting upon how they might shape or challenge current transport planning views and practices.
Candidates applying must satisfy the following requirements:
- National of (and currently working/researching in) countries who receive official development assistance from the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD);
- willing to be involved as a participant in 'The challenges of teaching sustainable transport' research project;
- fluency in the English language; and
- strong evidence of work/research experience in the transport policy/planning sector in line with the specific course theme/content
