UDESMO workshop delegates August 2022

On Wednesday 31 August and Thursday 1 September the TSU hosted a workshop, co-organised with colleagues at Cranfield University, as part of the Urban Development, Energy infrastructure and Sustainable MObility (UDESMO) project.

The workshop brought together scholars and policymakers from the UK and South Korea and working at the intersection of electric vehicles and energy in cities. The first day celebrated to research undertaken and presented by early career researchers, including the TSU's Dr Hannah Budnitz. The second day was centred on policymaking at both the national and local levels, with participation by policymakers from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), Oxfordshire County Council and various Korean policy institutes and think tanks. The workshop allowed researchers and policymakers to network and learn from experiences across the UK and South Korea.

A follow-up is scheduled for May 2023 in Seoul.
