Dr Hannah Budnitz writes in Citti Magazine about research into the psychological importance of convincing conventional car drivers of the environmental and technological benefits of switching to EVs, and why policymakers and the EV industry still have work to do to win hearts and minds.

Hannah Budnitz joined one of the panels on the second day of the EV Summit 2023 discussing EV charging solutions.

Dr Jin-ho Chung and the United Nations University's Centre for Policy Research (UNU-CPR) have released a policy brief summarising ideas and solutions presented at a UNU-CPR migration policy roundtable held in New York in March 2023 in partnership with the MID-EQ Hub.

Christian Brand, Professor in Transport, Energy and Climate Change, featured in two news articles in the Financial Times. Based on previous research for the UK Energy Research Centre, he argued that the delay to the ban on petrol and diesel cars would increase emissions from the sector by hundreds of millions of tonnes of carbon, and that this would make meeting the UK’s medium term carbon targets even more difficult, if not impossible.

Two academic members at the School of Geography and the Environment (SoGE) have been awarded the title of Professor by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Oxford, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to their fields of research, teaching and academic service. Congratulations to Louise Slater, Professor of Hydroclimatology, and Christian Brand, Professor of Transport, Energy and Climate Change, on this richly deserved achievement.
